Biography
Vincent Chan is an educator with experience of 6 years in the field of business/marketing/entrepreneurship & finance. He has the burning passion and fiery energy to influence and spearhead the mindset of change in everyone he meets. His excellent communication skills, friendliness, and motivational style have helped to energise and motivate his participants in the class to effectively participate and learn. He always focuses on fun learning.
Vincent Chan is active in 3 major fields, which are education, training, and entrepreneurship. In education, he is one of the TALENT in the Academic Development for Excellence in Programmes and Teaching (ADEPT). Some of his involvement is in training lecturers at Multimedia University on teaching innovation and classroom management. He is also the founder and creator of RICES Ecosystem, whereby it’s a concept that can be implemented to create a more effective and engaging classroom. He is listed as the top 6 in the Anugerah AKRI 2019 in the track of Curriculum Development & Innovative Delivery.
Where else in the entrepreneurship field, he is the liaison of the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC). As the founder of The Changemaker Academy, he has mentored and won many national and international awards with his students (eg: Hult Prize & Alibaba Get Challenge, myImpact Policy Advocacy Competition, and many more). He also won the Best Mentor Award in 2019 and was a finalist in MOHE Entrepreneurial Award 2021: Outstanding Entrepreneurship Mentor Award. His involvement in policy advocacy started when he brought teams to myImpact Policy writing competition, where we engage with various stakeholders like government sectors, NGOs, and the beneficiaries themself. This national competition aims to stimulate young minds in formulating and proposing credible policy recommendations related to environmental protection and climate action which is aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
His vast knowledge and understanding of the United Nations’ SDGs developed from all the different international business competitions he joined, for example, the Malaysian Technology Expo: SDG track and ITEX. He has created lots of business ideas and startups that relate to SDG and bring impact to the beneficiaries. He also gave training on Sustainability Development topics in a Protege program with a corporate company.
In the field of training, he has been a trainer for government and corporate entities. Some of the clients are Telekom Malaysia, Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah (MBMB), Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, KEMAS, and many more.
He holds professional certificates such as the Certified TTT, Certified Visualise Through Freehand, and Certified Team-Based Learning trainer.
