Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liew Tze Wei lectures undergraduate information systems courses and mentors both undergraduate and postgraduate students, emphasizing problem solving, communication, and analytical thinking. He currently serves as deputy chair of the Centre for Interaction and Experience Design and previously led the Human-Centric Technology Interaction Special Interest Group. Beyond academia, he has extensive experience serving on advisory boards and consulting for government-related agencies such as the Ministry of Education, the Melaka City Council, private companies, and other public-sector organizations.

As an information science researcher, his work examines human–computer interaction in emerging technology mediated applications across instructional media, education, healthcare, and consumer behavior, drawing on cognitive psychology, media psychology, cyberpsychology, and socio-emotive communication theories. A member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), he serves on the editorial boards of Learning and Instruction (Elsevier), Human Behavior and Emerging Technologies (Wiley), and Frontiers in Computer Science. He has presented research, delivered invited lectures, and participated in scholarly activities as a Technical Program Committee member and program chair for ACM and IEEE conferences across Australia, China, Cambodia, Denmark, Hong Kong (China), India, Indonesia, Japan, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan (China), Thailand, and Vietnam. He actively promotes rigorous research practices to address the reproducibility crisis and welcomes prospective collaborators and students interested in these research domains.
