Suganthi Ramasamy is an assistant professor in the Banking and Finance unit Faculty of Business (FOB) at the Multimedia University (MMU), Melaka. She is currently the Chairman of the Centre for Globalization and Sustainability Research (CGSR) research centre in FOB.She had received her BBA (Hons) Finance with Multimedia in 2001 (MMU), Master of Philosophy in 2003 (MMU) and her PhD in the area of Banking and Finance in 2015 from Monash University. She joined Multimedia University in 2001 and has taught undergraduate subjects such as Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Management and International Finance. She was the Programme Coordinator of Banking and Finance unit in 2012. She is on the editorial board and a reviewer of IBIMA. Her research interests in finance encompass the field of corporate finance, financial asset valuation, stock market, financial derivatives and bank operations.
