Biography
Ts. Shahfeeq Jibin, A Multimedia Designer/Musician/Composer/Sound Designer/ Educator, traces his roots to the vibrant city of Alor Setar in Kedah, where he was both born and raised. His educational journey commenced at Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid, laying the foundation for his intellectual pursuits.
In 2009, Shahfeeq graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia, specializing in Digital Media. Undeterred by the culmination of his undergraduate studies, he embarked on a path of continued scholarly exploration, pursuing a master's degree in new media at UiTM, further honing his expertise in the burgeoning field.
His foray into academia officially began in 2013 when he assumed a teaching role at the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA) in Multimedia University (MMU). Simultaneously, Shahfeeq demonstrated his versatility and passion in the independent music scene in Malaysia, contributing as both a musician and engineer.
The trajectory of Shahfeeq's career took a pivotal turn in 2015 when he was appointed Deputy Dean Academic at FCA, entrusted with the crucial responsibilities of curriculum delivery and quality assurance. Under his leadership, he pioneered the innovative block teaching method, facilitating the integration of industry practitioners as teaching staff within FCA. This groundbreaking approach garnered recognition, earning the 1st runner-up position in the esteemed AKRI 2018 awards.
February 2023 marked a crowning achievement in Shahfeeq's career as he assumed the esteemed position of Dean at the Faculty of Cinematic Arts, solidifying his commitment to advancing education and fostering an environment where creativity and academia harmoniously converge. His journey stands as a testament to a relentless pursuit of excellence, marked by visionary leadership and groundbreaking contributions to the academic landscape.
