With over 15 years of diverse experience in academia, industry, and national-level initiatives, Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. R Kanesaraj Ramasamy stands at the forefront of innovation in AI, IoT, and predictive analytics, bridging cutting-edge research with real-world implementation.
He holds a PhD in IT from Multimedia University, with research focused on adaptive web service composition for mobile cloud applications. A Professional Technologist (Ts) certified by MBOT and a Senior IEEE Member, Dr. R Kanesaraj has led multiple research projects totaling RM 1.05 million, in addition to securing RM 137,000 in CSR grants for community sustainability initiatives. His flagship projects, such as PulseWise and Smart Toilet, have earned multiple Gold and three Special Awards at major international innovation competitions.
Dr. R Kanesaraj has published extensively in SCOPUS-indexed journals, including Q1/Q2-ranked journals, and holds five copyrights and one patent. In his leadership role as Deputy Director of the Touchpoint Management Office, he pioneered MMU’s university-wide predictive analytics tNPS system, implemented across 38 departments. His work also extends to national policymaking, having contributed to Malaysia’s National IoT Implementation Policy under NACSA.
He actively supervises postgraduate students at both PhD and Master’s levels, and regularly serves as an advisor, keynote speaker, and panel expert at national and international conferences. Passionate about lifelong learning, he also delivers professional training in IoT, design thinking, software testing, and mobile app development, with notable clients including Telekom Malaysia, MCMC, POS Malaysia, and various government agencies.
Dedicated to leveraging technology for good, Dr. R Kanesaraj integrates ESG and CSR principles into his innovations—from healthcare triage systems to coral reef conservation technologies.
