Dr. Nurul Nadia Nordin is an accomplished educator, researcher, trainer, and innovation mentor with more than 17 years of experience in the education sector. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Management, Multimedia University (MMU), Cyberjaya, where she has served since 2014. She also holds the position of Programme Coordinator for the Bachelor of Business Management programme, contributing to curriculum development, academic quality assurance, programme administration, and student development.
She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2006 and 2009, respectively, before earning her PhD in Operations Management from MMU. Her doctoral research focused on heuristics and metaheuristics for facility layout optimisation, culminating in her thesis entitled “Hybridisation Between Heuristic and Improved Genetic Algorithm in Optimising Unequal Area Facility Layout Problem.”
Her research interests include heuristics, metaheuristics, operations research, facility layout optimisation, and operations management. She is also deeply committed to mathematics education and innovation, particularly in developing game-based learning approaches, educational board games, and creative learning activities that enhance student engagement and reduce mathematics anxiety. Through various innovation competitions, educational initiatives, and community outreach programmes, she has inspired students to apply mathematical concepts through creativity, technology, entrepreneurship, and real-world problem-solving.
Beyond her academic responsibilities, Dr. Nadia is a certified and accredited HRD Corp trainer and Certified Colored Brain Trainer. She is passionate about leadership development, effective communication, experiential learning, educational innovation, and creating meaningful and sustainable impact for students, educators, organisations, and communities.
