Biography
Dr. Nisha Kumari Devaraj is a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Multimedia University (MMU). She graduated with a B.Eng.(Hons) Electronics degree in 2005, Master of Engineering Science (M.Eng.Sc) in 2010, and PhD (Engineering) in 2020, also from MMU. She has published 6 journal articles as main author and 4 as co-author, 4 conference proceedings and 1 book chapter. Throughout her tenure at MMU as a student and also a lecturer, she has been a recipient of a bronze medal at the 20th International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX’09), letters of merit from the president and vice-president of MMU for her teaching evaluation scores, book award for her graduation, as well the Dean's awards for several trimesters of her undergraduate studies. Most recently, she obtained the bronze award for her project: "Nanostructured Magnetic Materials for Heavy Metal Ion Detection" at the RICES 2018 and 2019 held in MMU. She has also mentored 10 students for their Final Year Projects mainly in the field of nanomaterials, nanostructures and mathematical modelling of heavy metals adsorption. At present, she is the Assistant Program Coordinator for the B.Eng.(Hons) Electronics Majoring in Nanotechnology program, and Assistant head of Content Management Team (CMT) for the Homepage Committee (HPC) in FOE, MMU.
