Nashreen Hilman is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, Multimedia University (MMU), Cyberjaya. She holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematics from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Her doctoral research focuses on enhancing muscle reaction classification through hybrid ECG-EMG signal-to-image transformation, contributing to advancements in biomedical signal analysis and healthcare data analytics.
With over ten years of academic experience, Ms. Nashreen has taught a wide range of mathematics courses across foundation, diploma, and degree programmes, including Discrete Structures, Mathematical Techniques, and Calculus. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes conceptual understanding, analytical reasoning, and the integration of real-world data applications into mathematical learning.
Prior to joining Multimedia University, she served as a Mathematics Lecturer at the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) and the University of Cyberjaya (UoC). During her tenure at APU, she also served as Quality Control (QC) Manager at the School of Mathematics, Actuarial and Quantitative Studies (SoMAQS), APU where she was responsible for ensuring curriculum quality, academic compliance, and assessment consistency. She has also led several academic and outreach initiatives, including the Meta Maths League and community engagement programmes designed to promote mathematical thinking among secondary school students.
