Biography
Dr. Melissa W. Migin is currently an Academic under the Marketing department at the Faculty of Management (FoM), Multimedia University in Cyberjaya, Selangor Malaysia where she has been a faculty member since 2015.
Her research interests lie in the area of digital marketing, sustainable marketing, consumer behaviour, retail marketing and higher education. She has authored and co-authored several journal papers and conference proceedings in the area of higher education, retail, internationalisation, management, online and mobile marketing.
She is also an active trainer/consultant to Multinational Companies such as Malaysia Airlines Berhad, Telekom Malaysia Berhad, Roj Home Centre (Iran) and TMONE to name a few. Industrial trainings has a positive cascading effects in the undergraduate and postgraduate classes that she teaches at MMU.
Also, Melissa was a Chairman of UCSI Extension and UCSI Poll Research Centre, and the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Information Science (FoBIS) for Kuala Lumpur (KL) and Terengganu Campus in 2013-2015 at UCSI University.
Her corporate experience includes working as a sales and marketing manager for 4 years with Efficient Edge (M) Sdn. Bhd., designed an awareness programme, marketing campaigns (both offline and online) and oversaw the export supply chain. She has also actively liaised with suppliers, manufacturers and financial institutions both locally and international on pre-shipment and post-shipment cargoes.
