Ms. Maw Maw serves as a lecturer at the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI) at Multimedia University (MMU) in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. She earned her Bachelor of Computer Science with Honors (B.C.Sc.(Hons.)) with distinction in 2004 from the University of Computer Studies, Yangon (UCSY), Myanmar. In 2008, she completed her Master of Computer Science (M.C.Sc.) at the same institution, focusing her research on data mining, information processing, and clustering models. From 1998 to 2014, she was engaged as a tutor and teacher for both high school and university-level students. From 2014, she joined the University of Malaya as a research assistant and was involved in several research-related activities. Her areas of expertise are cutting-edge topics like machine learning, AI bias and algorithmic fairness, and responsible AI. Furthermore, she wants to expand her research into multidisciplinary research areas such as AI in teaching and learning and AI in health care and mental health, etc. She has published notable research articles throughout her research journey and is currently serving as a peer reviewer for Aslib Journal of Information Management by Emerald Publisher. Her commitment to education extends beyond the classroom; in her spare time, she serves as a mentor, providing mental support and educational guidance to the students in the vulnerable areas, reflecting her dedication to social responsibility and inclusive education.
