Dr. Manique A.E. Cooray is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, Multimedia University. Dr. Manique was the Dean of the Faculty of Law from 2014-2016 and 2018-2021 (February). She was also the first Deputy-Dean Research at the Faculty. She obtained her LLB (Hons) Degree from the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom. As a recipient of the Commonwealth Postgraduate Fellowship, she completed her Master in Comparative Law from the University of Delhi. She obtained her PhD from the Faculty of Law, University of Malaya. Her thesis examined -Child Pornography on the Internet: Adequacy of the Laws in Malaysia under the supervision of Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr. Khaw Lake Tee.
Dr. Manique’s main research interests are on Cyber Crimes, Information Technology Law and Child Law. She lectures on Cyberlaw, Intellectual Property Law and Conflict of Laws at the Faculty.
