Biography
Julien Pierre
Julien Pierre is a dedicated and passionate lecturer who brings joy, laughter, and a wealth of knowledge into the classroom. Always attentive to his students, he fosters an engaging learning environment where curiosity thrives. While nothing about the French language escapes him, he might admit to some mystery surrounding the origins of its gender rules, much to the relief of his students.
Academic and Professional Background
- Expert in French language and phonology, teaching at Multimedia University (MMU) since August 2010.
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Arts, and Culture, majoring in Arts of Entertainment.
- Specialist in Malaysian and Singaporean cinema (1948–1973).
- Earned a Maîtrise in FLE (French as a Foreign Language) from the Université de Franche-Comté, France, specializing in Linguistic-Educational Policies and Digital Environments.
Examiner and Jury Member
Julien is an examiner for the DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française), DALF, and TCF (Test de connaissance du français) in Malaysia and serves as a member of the Malaysian national jury.
