Biography
Dr. Kwan Jing Hui is a lecturer in Finance at the Faculty of Management, Multimedia University, Cyberjaya. She holds a PhD degree in Corporate Finance from the University of Malaya, a Master degree in Finance from University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia and a Bachelor degree in Business Administration majoring in Banking & Finance with First-Class Honours from Multimedia University.
She teaches undergraduate subjects in Finance such as Financial Management, Corporate Finance, and Corporate Risk Management. Furthermore, she is actively involved in undergraduate industrial training supervision, final year projects supervision, research grants as well as research writing. Her research interests include corporate finance and corporate governance.
Her research works were peer reviewed and published in International Review of Business, Journal of Education for Business and African Journal of Business Management. In addition, she was one of the speakers at 6th International Borneo Business Conference (IBBC 2014); AAGBS International Conference on Business Management 2018; 5th International Conference on Quantitative Sciences and its Applications (ICOQSIA2018). She is also a project leader and project member of several internal and external research grants such as FRGS.
Prior to joining MMU, she was a financial analyst at General Electric (GE) International Inc. She then joined Multimedia University as an academician in Faculty of Management. Apart from being a lecturer, she is the Industrial Training Coordinator for Bachelor of Financial Engineering and a member of the Blended Learning Task-force Committee in the Faculty as well. She is passionate about teaching and training. She is a Google Certified Educator, an HRDF TTT certified trainer (Train-the-Trainer) and actively involved in conducting In-house training. She has also won a Gold medal at i-Teach Symposium & Workshop organized by the Academic Development for Excellence in Programmes and Teaching (ADEPT) in 2017.
