Biography
Ibrahim Yusof (CHFI, LPIC-1, NLCP, NCLA, DCTS, DCATS, LTS) is a lecturer, trainer and consultant in ICT, Linux / open source software, computer security and computer forensics for the past 20 years. Beside computer and ICT field, he also knowledgeable in retail and marketing field in both academic qualification as well as professional and practical experiences.
Among of his industry involvements are as trainer and consultant for various MNCs, SMIs / SMEs and government agency. Trainer for Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) under Ministry of Foreign Affair in Data Recovery and IT Security. Trainer and consultant for ICT, Linux and Open Source software at Sektor K-Ekonomi, Bahagian Teknologi Maklumat & Komunikasi, Jabatan Ketua Menteri Melaka, EC Council Academy, TM, CTRM, Anjung Technology, Kolej Komuniti, Jabatan Pendidikan Melaka and other SMIs / SMEs. He also invited as committee member of Protection Profile Working Group (PPWG) at Cyber Security Malaysia, communication and ICT secretariat for Persekutuan Pengakap Melaka and ICT advisory panel for Melaka state government.
He has Certified Hacking Forensic Instigator (CHFI), Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC-1), SUSE 11 Tech Specialist , Novell Certified Linux Professional (NCLP), Novell Certified Linux Administrator (NCLA), Data Center Technical Specialist (DCTS), Data Center Advanced Technical Specialist (DCATS), Linux Technical Specialist (LTS). Appointed as instructor for Linux Academy at Multimedia University, Melaka also certified instructor for LPI Malaysia under OSDC.
He is currently teaching at Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Multimedia University, Melaka. Prior to current career, he served INTI College as Computer Science Lecturer, Disted College as Computing Lecturer, Atlan Metalmate Sdn Bhd as Marketing Executive and MPH Bookstores Sdn Bhd as Retail Executive.
Besides his professional certifications, Ibrahim holds Master of Science in Information Technology, Advance Diploma in Business Studies (Marketing), Diploma in Plantation Management and currently pursuing his PhD in ICT. He is also a professional member for The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), member for Internet Society (ISOC) Global and auditor for Internet Society (ISOC) Malaysia Chapter.
