Biography
Hawa binti Rahmat obtained her first and second degrees in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM ), with a Bachelor of Human Sciences (Psychology - 2000) and Masters of Human Sciences (Clinical and Counselling Psychology - 2004), respectively. Her Ph.D. specialises in the field of Developmental Psychology from University Putra Malaysia (UPM - 2018). In 2000, her career started as a Customer Relation Consultant. She then joined MMU in 2003 as an Assistant Lecturer. In 2008, she was promoted to be a Lecturer. In 2012, she is promoted to be a Senior Lecturer to the present time. As a psychologist, she has registered with Persatuan Psikologi Malaysia (PSIMA) as a full member. She was the Deputy Dean of Research and Innovation for the Faculty of Applied Communication from 2018 - 2020. She was also a columnist in Pa & Ma and Remaja Magazines for few years and a panel speaker at Motivasi Pagi TV3 for 10 series in 2010. At present, she is the Chairperson for the Centre for Language and Communication, Faculty of Applied Communication.
