Dr. Hasmida Jamaluddin is an Assistant Professor attached to the Faculty of Business at Multimedia University (MMU), where she currently serves as the Deputy Dean of Academic and Innovative Learning. She holds a PhD in Management from Multimedia University, a Master of Science in Information Technology from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Management Information Systems) from Saint Louis University, USA.
Dr. Hasmida brings over 20 years of teaching experience, delivering courses to both undergraduate and MBA students across a range of disciplines. Prior to her academic career, she accumulated more than five years of industry experience as a software project manager and systems programmer. She has also conducted training programmes in management for organizations such as Telekom Malaysia, as well as within Multimedia University.
In addition to her academic and training contributions, Dr. Hasmida has played an active role in international academic competitions. She has served as the Head of Committee overseeing the judging process for international competitions, including E-Business (EBES) and the International Business Idea Challenge (IBIC), for three consecutive years.
Her research interests include cyberloafing, internet addiction, information systems, digital transformation, and organizational behaviour. She has presented her work at numerous international conferences and published in academic journals. In 2020, she was invited as a Keynote Speaker at an international conference hosted by Birla Global University in Bhubaneswar, India, and also served as a panelist in an International Student Exchange Programme with Universitas Mercu Buana, Indonesia.
