Biography
Chong Choy Yoke is currently the Deputy Dean of the Institute of Postgraduate Studies. She is also a lecturer in Quantitative Unit at the Faculty of Management, Multimedia University, Cyberjaya campus. She obtained her Bachelor in Science majoring in Statistics from Universiti Putra Malaysia and graduated with first-class honors. She then furthered her studies in Master of Applied Statistics at the same university. Armed with her passion and interest in Statistics, she then decided to continue her studies and pursued a PhD in Economics, where she hopes to apply her knowledge in quantitative analysis. During her doctorate studies, she attended local and international conferences in Malaysia with the intention to share her findings from her studies. One of her papers won the Outstanding Paper Award in 2nd ASEAN Consortium Department of Economics Conference (ACDEC 2013). In addition, she also had her work published in two journals during her postgraduate journey. She is passionate in teaching quantitative subjects to her students and providing training on statistical analysis. In addition, she is experienced in organizing academic conferences.
