Biography
C. K. Kok received his PhD. in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University in 2004. Specializing in applied mechanics research with more than 10 years of experience in mechanical simulation using finite element analysis, he is a mechanical engineer with 5 years of industrial experience in an MNC in electronics/telecommunication industry, and more than 15 years of working experience in academia. He implemented Six Sigma methodology in industrial projects and obtained a Green belt certification from Motorola. His areas of expertise are Finite Element Method, Material Characterization, Six Sigma Methodology and Tribology. He is currently working on nanofluids, advanced battery materials and friction stir welding.
