Biography
Dr. Jacobs (aka CJ Gletus Matthews CN Jacobs) is currently a Senior Lecturer at the faculty of Law Multimedia University Melaka campus.
In 1999 he graduated in Law (LLB Hons) at the Anglia (Ruskin) University Chelmsford United Kingdom. He later pursued his Masters (LLM) in International Sports Law at the same university, graduating in 2004.
In 2018 he was awarded the postgraduate degree of PhD at Multimedia University Malaysia
His qualifications includes a professional course- LUTC (Fellow) MII-USA in 1994.
He began his working career in the corporate sectors in Singapore and Malaysia for a number of years.
He worked as a paralegal officer in legal firms in London UK and at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 2000. He started his academic career in law at the Advanced Advance Tertiary College (ATC) Kuala Lumpur, then to Stamford College Kuala Lumpur before moving to Multimedia University at Melaka in 2007.
His area of expertise includes Public International Law whereby he is the current designated lecturer of the subject at the faculty. His special interest is in Humanitarian Law.
As a keen sportsman he has also has a keen interest in Sports Law. He had published a number of articles related to this area in a number of journals. Similarly he had presented research papers in the area of Sports Law in conferences in Asia and Europe.
He had also published articles and presented research papers in conferences, in other areas of law and social science as well.
He is a member of International Sociology of Sports Association (ISSA) UK which is affiliated to the UNESCO.
In Malaysia he is currently a committee member of the “First Instance Body” of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).
While lecturing in Business law at the initial years in MMU, he published a book titled the “The Principles of Malaysian Business Law” in 2012
