Biography
Ms. Nor Azlah Abu Bakar is a Senior Lecturer at the Learning Institute for Empowerment (LIfE), Multimedia University. She has been teaching proficiency English and ESP courses for more than 25 years. She holds a B. Ed in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers’ of Other Languages) degree from Heriot-Watt University, UK and an M. Ed in Educational Technology & ELT (English Language Teaching) from University of Manchester, UK.
She is also a trainer who has conducted various programmes and short courses on public speaking and communication skills involving both local and international participants. Apart from conducting public programmes, she has also trained clients which include Telekom Malaysia Berhad, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Plantation, Industries and Commodities, the Economic Planning Unit among others.
In terms of research, her research interests include Computer-Aided Language Learning (CALL), educational technology and corporate communications. With her vast teaching experience, she has also published several textbooks for university students with an international publishing house.
