DR. ALAA HADDAD received the B.S. degree in computer science from Aleppo University, Syria, in 2015, where her research focused on applying artificial intelligence methods, specifically fuzzy algorithms, for image filtering in Android mobile applications. She earned her M.S. degree in computer science from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2019, specializing in AI for mobile application development, with her research focused on detecting skin diseases through image analysis using Android-based systems. She completed her Ph.D. in engineering at IIUM in 2023, where her work integrated Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain to develop a secure healthcare management system employing a hybrid encryption method to ensure a high level of security. From 2015 to 2024, Dr. Alaa gained extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer. She specialized in managing and developing high-security systems for sending and receiving information across countries, ensuring compliance with rigorous security protocols, and performing yearly system updates to maintain cutting-edge functionality.
Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and Mobile Application Development. Currently, Dr. Alaa serves as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computing & Informatics (FCI) at Multimedia University (MMU), Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
