ChM. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Farimin Bin Ahmad Osman is currently a lecturer in the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering (FAIE), Multimedia University. His research interests span several areas, including dielectric elastomers, soft materials, drying technology, oleochemical technology, sustainability, carbon capture, energy-related technologies and science and technology in Islam. His previous research focused primarily on polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and its actuation performance in soft robotics applications. This work involved investigating the electromechanical properties of filled PDMS and developing strategies to enhance its performance for more efficient and responsive actuator systems. Building on his multidisciplinary background, he is currently expanding his research into sustainability, carbon capture and energy-related technologies, with an emphasis on developing practical solutions to environmental and energy challenges.
