Biography
Dr. Abdullah Sarwar is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Management, Multimedia University (MMU), Cyberjaya, Malaysia. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from University Tun Abdul Razzak, Malaysia, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the International Islamic University Malaysia. Throughout his academic journey, he has made significant contributions to the fields of marketing and management, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. His research spans a wide range of disciplines, including international marketing, consumer behavior, digital marketing, human resource management (HRM), Islamic marketing, and tourism marketing. He has secured a research grant totalling RM 336,866.00, serving as a leader and member of various project teams, and has authored over 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters. In recognition of his scholarly excellence, Dr. Sarwar received the "Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence" in 2016. Additionally, he was honoured with the "Best Dean Award" in 2023 by the Puducherry Art Researcher's Academy in Tamil Nadu, India, acknowledging his outstanding achievements in teaching, research, and social contribution. He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and actively engages in consulting and training. He is currently involved in digital marketing training and provides mentorship to Ph.D. and master's students, guiding their academic and research endeavours.
