Ms. Wan Nor Al-Ashekin Binti Wan Husin is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, Multimedia University (MMU), Malaysia. She commenced her tertiary education with a Diploma in Information Technology from Institut Agama Islam Negeri Kedah, Malaysia, which is now known as Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah (UniSHAMS), Malaysia. She then pursued a Bachelor of Information Technology with Honours, majoring in Networking, at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), graduating in 2003. She subsequently completed her postgraduate studies at the same institution, earning a Master of Science in Information Technology in 2010. She is a registered Graduate Technologist with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) and a Global Member of the Internet Society (ISOC).
With over 17 years of experience in higher education across both local and international colleges and universities, she has specialized in the field of Information Technology. Her professional experience spans various academic responsibilities at diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, including teaching, academic administration, project supervision, research and publication, as well as active participation in institutional quality control initiatives.
Her primary areas of research interest include Information and Network Security, Intrusion Detection and Response Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing and Operating Systems.
