Biography
Dr. Mohammad Shadab Khan is an academician and researcher in computer science and information systems, with expertise in AI, machine learning, and technology adoption, focusing on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) interventions and machine learning applications. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, Multimedia University, Cyberjaya. He has been active in academia since 2005, holding teaching and administrative roles across India, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia.
Dr. Khan earned a Bachelor’s in Computer Applications, an MSc in Information Technology, and a PhD in Information Technology from IIUM. His doctoral research focused on technology adoption for autism spectrum disorder interventions, employing machine learning methodologies. His publications cover diverse topics, including cybersecurity, IoT, deep learning, and special education technologies. His work has been featured in esteemed journals and conferences, earning recognition such as the Best Student Award for Community Engagement at the Kulliyah of Information & Communication Technology (KICT), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
In addition to teaching, Dr. Khan has held leadership roles, including Chair of the IEEE Student Branch at IIUM and President of the Postgraduate Students Society. He has been actively involved in organizing (6) international IEEE conferences and delivering lectures on Empathetic Technologies and Ethical research practices. His teaching portfolio includes courses in AI & NLP, Social Media Computing, Research Methodology, Enterprise Information Systems, Software engineering, and Computer Networks.
Dr. Khan's interdisciplinary research and commitment to advancing education and neurodiversity make him a significant contributor to global academic and technological innovation.
