Dr. Raja Majid Mehmood is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, Multimedia University (MMU), Malaysia, and the founder of EJAD Lab, where he leads cutting-edge, impact-driven research and development initiatives. His entrepreneurial ventures such as hrcheese.com and ejadai.com embody the intersection of research, innovation, and real-world problem-solving, empowering future technologists and entrepreneurs to build meaningful solutions.
Dr. Mehmood's interdisciplinary research bridges core areas including Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Computer Vision, Signal Processing, Affective Computing, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Brain–Computer Interfaces (BCI), and EEG-based computing. His specific interests delve deep into web and mobile application development, API engineering, and intelligent web services, with a strong emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and AI for Speech and Language Processing — including translation, transcription, voice and video synchronization, and multimodal content generation. He is actively advancing the frontiers of image and video processing, emotion recognition using EEG, generative and multimodal AI, AI-driven SEO strategies, digital marketing automation, web analytics, and interactive data visualization.
With a dynamic blend of academic expertise, practical innovation, and student-centered mentorship, Dr. Mehmood is passionate about nurturing the next generation of researchers and innovators. He is recognized as an IEEE Senior Member and was named among the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University in 2022.
His global research network includes collaborations with esteemed scholars such as Prof. Abdulkadir Şengür (Fırat University, Turkey), Prof. Kamran Siddique (University of Alaska Anchorage, USA), Prof. Sun-Hee Kim (Korea University, South Korea), Prof. Iftikhar Ahmad (King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia), and many others across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
