Dr. Nur Erlida binti Ruslan is an accomplished educator and researcher, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computing & Informatics (FCI), Multimedia University (MMU), Cyberjaya Campus. She holds a PhD specializing in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence (AI) from the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), where her research focused on Medical Image Processing. She is also a member of the Centre of Artificial Intelligence & Robotics (CAIRO), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, and a research collaborator with the National Heart Institute (IJN), Kuala Lumpur.
Dr. Nur Erlida earned her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Software Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2008 and 2005, respectively. With over 18 years of experience in academia, she has made significant contributions to teaching, research, and mentorship. Her expertise spans medical image segmentation, machine learning, and deep learning, areas in which she is actively engaged in pioneering research.
Beyond her technical contributions, Dr. Nur Erlida is deeply committed to guiding and inspiring university students. She strives to leverage her extensive experience, technical expertise, and intuitive leadership to shape the next generation of AI and software engineering professionals. Through her research and teaching, she continues to drive innovation in medical imaging and artificial intelligence.
