Dr. Hj. Muhammad Nizam Bin Hj. Zainuddin is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Management (FOM), Multimedia University (MMU), Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia. He is a researcher, educator, trainer, and content developer with a strong commitment to advancing entrepreneurship education and human capital development.
Since joining MMU in 2006, Dr. Nizam has taught across diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes, contributing to curriculum development, programme accreditation, and student talent development. His teaching philosophy centres on experiential learning, critical thinking, and the cultivation of entrepreneurial competencies that enable learners to create value in organisations and society.
His research focuses on entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial identity, entrepreneurial passion, experiential learning, employability, and innovation. He has published extensively in reputable international journals, including Q1 and Q2 Scopus-indexed outlets such as Education + Training, Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies, On the Horizon, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, and Human Arenas. His work has contributed to a deeper understanding of how entrepreneurship education transforms learners through identity formation and passion development.
As a postgraduate supervisor, Dr. Nizam mentors Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), and PhD candidates in conducting rigorous and impactful research. He is particularly recognised for applying Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) and mixed-method approaches in entrepreneurship and education research.
Beyond academia, Dr. Nizam is an Accredited HRD Corp Trainer who actively designs and delivers entrepreneurship development programmes, professional training workshops, and educational content for diverse audiences, including working professionals, aspiring entrepreneurs, and participants in the creative economy sector. He views himself as a "human integrated stereo amplifier," dedicated to helping individuals discover, strengthen, and amplify their entrepreneurial potential for meaningful personal, organisational, and societal impact.
