Dr. Sunita Lylia Hamdan is a lecturer and researcher in the Faculty of Management at Multimedia University (MMU), Malaysia since the last 15 years. Before joining as an academician, she had 10 years of industry experience as an internal auditor, external auditor and group accountant in one of the government link companies. She is currently an associate member in Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Institute of Internal Auditors, Malaysia (IIAM). She was among the pioneer who has successfully completed the Chief Integrity Officer course conducted by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
Her research interest is in the areas of corporate governance, internal & external auditing, shariah audit and corporate fraud. She has published several journals and conference proceedings in the areas of corporate governance in public listed companies, auditing, whistleblowing, Islamic human capital & shahriah audit.
