Biography
Dr. Mohd Fairuz bin Abd Rahim is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Management, Multimedia University (MMU). Fairuz completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) study in the area of human resource development from Monash University. He earned his Master of Philosophy (MPhil.) and Bachelor of Business Administration (First Class Honours) in the areas of organizational learning and management from Multimedia University.
Fairuz is a certified Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) and Center for Entrepreneurship Development and Research (CEDAR) trainer. Fairuz was among the selected few who received direct coaching from Stanford University (USA) D.School professors, where he received his certification as a Design Thinking Trainer. He is also the Advisor and consultant for Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI) Young Agropreneur Programme since 2017, and served as mentor for startups under MMU Startup Scheme.
Fairuz accumulates more than 18 years of teaching and training experience, and was awarded the MMU Best Teaching Staff Award in 2016. His area of expertise includes design thinking, communication, entrepreneurship education, training and development, strategic management, and human resource development. Fairuz’s training repertoire includes corporate clients such as Telekom Malaysia, GITN, MARDI, Khazanah Nasional, Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat, Asian Banking School, MMU, and others. He has also trained thousands of participants locally and internationally.
Fairuz has received numerous research grants and has published research papers in international refereed journals and conference proceedings, particularly in the areas of Human Resource Management, Organizational Learning, Learning Organization, and Entrepreneurship.
