Dr. Bright Akwasi Gyamfi is an Assistant Professor at the Multimedia University-Malaysia and was an esteemed Associate Professor specializing in Sustainable Finance at India's Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU) and International Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Management-Ranchi. Before embarking on his academic journey, he garnered invaluable experience in the banking sector, notably at Sekyeduamasi Rural Bank Ltd. in Ghana, where he held roles ranging from deputy branch manager to head of credit. He also worked as a Research Associate at Istanbul Ticaret University, Turkey, during his PhD studies.
His academic prowess culminated in a PhD in Business Administration (Finance) from Cyprus International University. His extensive research portfolio encompasses diverse areas, including climate finance, international trade, foreign direct investment, financial development, renewable energy, economic growth, and sustainability.
Dr. Bright Akwasi Gyamfi’s scholarly contributions include over 100+ published papers in esteemed journals such as Energy Economics, Renewable Energy, Journal of Environmental Management, Cleaner Production, Resources Policy, Sustainable Development, among others. Notably, he has earned recognition among the top 2% of scientists globally by Elsevier and Stanford University, based on the assessment of the top 100,000 scientists using C-Score for 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Beyond research, Dr. Gyamfi imparts his knowledge as a visiting Researcher at INTI International University & Colleges in Malaysia and Istanbul Gelisim University in Turkey, contributing significantly to the academic community and shaping the future of sustainable finance. I am also a proud member of CPA Australia (Certified Practising Accountants, Australia), further reflecting his professional commitment to high standards of financial expertise and practice.
