Nurleyana has over 10 years of teaching experience in advertising design. Presently attached to Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) of Multimedia University (MMU) Malaysia, her area of expertise include graphic and multimedia design, advertising and corporate communication theories and practices. She started her career as a practitioner in design and multimedia in an IT company based in Cyberjaya. During her tenure in MMU, she also served as the Manager of Corporate Communications Unit for 2 years. After holding the position as the Advertising Design programme coordinator for several years, she is now the Head of Media Innovation department in FCM. When she first held the position in 2007, she was the youngest programme coordinator ever appointed in the university.
Nurleyana holds a Master's degree in Corporate Communication from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia, specializing in Media Innovation from Multimedia University. She actively participates in conferences in her field, and currently researches on the adoption of new media technology in advertising.
