Wong Chui Yin is Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), Multimedia University (MMU). Her research interests are user interface design, usability, user experience, interaction design, user and design research, inclusive design, mobile technologies, gerontechnology and Human-Computer Interaction.
She has been working on numerous research projects and consulting services to industries in the areas of user experience and user interface design related to website, software design, interactive media, telecommunication products and services. Chui Yin is the Project Leader for several research grants funded by MOHE, Canada SSHRC, TM R&D, MDeC and etc. She was the Program Director for MDeC's UX (User Experience) Innovate 2014 Program, managing 19 MSC-status companies, and 11 UX mentors from industries and academia. She was also the former chair for the Universal Usability and Interaction Design (UUID) Special Interest Group at FCM, MMU.
In terms of community service, Chui Yin is also the Malaysian representative for IFIP Technical Committee 13: Human-Computer Interaction group. She was the conference secretary for Human Factors in Telecommunication (HFT2008). She has been serving as a Program Committee and reviewer for many journals and international conferences. Her project on ‘mobile social network application: MOM-i’, funded by Malaysian Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), won a Silver award under Multimedia category at an international exhibition ITEX 2009.
