Ah-Choo Koo received her B.Sc (Hons) from Technology University of Malaysia (UTM) and her PhD on Educational Technology from Multimedia University (MMU). Her PhD area is "Online Collaborative Learning for Malaysian Secondary Schools". Her research interests are mobile and ubiquitous learning, digital creation of interactive applications, and her current research interest is to study the use of creative multimedia for health promotion and life improvement.
She likes teaching since her younger age; her ambition is to become a lecturer. After graduating from her undergraduate studies, she taught mathematics in secondary schools for two years. She then joined MMU in 1997 as a tutor and then lecturer, senior lecturer, and now she is an associate professor at MMU. Mostly she taught graphics, interactive, media, internet applications, and research based subjects at Faculty of Creative Multimedia.
She was awarded with the Degree of Philosophy in the area of online collaborative learning from MMU in July 2006. Her research supervisors were Dr Balachandler Krishnan Guru and Dr Ahmad Rafi bin Mohamad Eshaq. She thanked them for supervising her and giving her a lot of encouragements and confidence in her works.
Her life is always guided by some quotes on "Persistence". One of them says, "It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop". This is a quote that guided her for all time. During her free time, she joins Tzu Chi Foundation (NGO) community work for charity and recycling programme. In this work, she found another quote that close to her, it says "With faith, determination and courage, nothing is impossible".
It is hopeful that these two quotes can motivate those who read this biography.
